In most cases, your order will ship the same - or next - day. If we see that it will take more than a couple of days to ship, we'll let you know what's going on, and what your options are.
Of course, during the Holidays, things can get pretty hectic. This means processing time could increase to as much as 3 to 5 days, depending on order volume. Please plan accordingly if you are shopping for gifts.
We don't offer free samples, but our Beard Oil & Balm Sample Pack is reasonably priced at $18. And you get a sample of each of our SIX scented Beard Oils, along with a sample tin of our Conditioning Beard Balm. They come in a nifty little collector tin, and every order gets a FREE sticker.
Both have the same purpose, and basically the same ingredients. The big difference is, balm is made with butters and waxes that give it a thick consistency, allowing it to provide more weight and hold. Oil, on the other hand is basically a conditioner only.
Do not over do it here. Let me say that again... DO NOT OVER DO IT! You should only brush it once after applying your oil/balm in the morning, and maybe once at night. I recommend using our boar's bristle brush. Once or twice a day, you can use a comb to remove any dust or crumbs or small children that my have accumulated throughout the day.
Rubbing, brushing, stroking, etc. is counter productive to keeping a healthy beard. I know it's awesome, but try to leave it alone.
"I don't like it getting in my mouth!"... or "It's so messy when I'm eating". I've heard it all, and I've been through it. You just have to decide whether or not you want a longer mustache that you can style. If you do, you just have to push through the uncomfortable stage. Brush it to the side, and use balm/wax to hold it if you need to. After a while, it will be "trained" that way and you'll have an awesome mustache. Keep stock in napkins.

You're going to experience at least a little itch, but you're a man right? You can handle it.
All of your whiskers have a sharp end on them from shaving. Those sharp ends are poking your skin, irritating it. Also, dead skin from your face is shedding and getting caught in your beard.
Make sure you are rinsing your beard out every day with cool water. The beard oil or beard balm will help to keep your skin moisturized, and it will soften the whiskers.
Make sure that you work it down to your skin when you are applying it, as well conditioned skin is just as important as well conditioned hair.

After growing my beard for about a year and trying several different products I decided to give smoky mountain a try. I would definitely say it's one of the better products I've sampled and arguably the best balm to date.
I took a small amount about the size of pea and rubbed it into my hands and then spread it throughout my beard. At first i noticed it was stickier than most balms and a pungent smell of smoke blasted me in the nose but then it quickly dissipated to a mild cedarwood/patchouli scent that was very pleasing. The scent does linger for a few hours but this was a positive thing for me. The stickiness also seems to go away fairly quickly as it began to work into my beard.
The real benefit came about 30-60mins later after my beard had time to soak up the balm. It really felt softer and the hairs were laying straighter/more manageable. I was able to get a straight comb through it with little to no tangles and it appeared fuller.
Overall, I'm very satisfied and will more than likely be trying the other scents in the near future. A very good product that stacks up against it's rivals for sure.

It's waxier than I thought it would be. At first I thought I ordered the wrong stuff as I am used to using liquid type oils. Because of its excellent essence I had to give it a try. I worked some into my palm and rubbed my hands together and then into my beard and wow! After working it in with a boar bristle brush the magic commenced. It felt a bit sticky at first but quickly subsided to a more natural feel. A few minutes later and it all but disappears except for the softness, the light hold, and the pleasin' odor (which is half the point). I liked it so much I immediately jumped online and ordered some Mountain Creek Beard Oil and some Cedarwood Beard & Body Soap.
This one's a keeper. Shipping was average. I ordered on a Friday and it came the next Friday.

I'm a first time buyer from Smoky Mountain Beard Co. I'm also a first time beard balm buyer. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. So I took a gamble and I have to say this smells really nice. It's not a strong overpowering scent. The smell does smell like you just got out of a barbershop, a manly type of scent.
I don't have anything to compare it to as I'm new to using the beard balm. I do find that it takes a decent amount of product to control my friz. I'd say about two thumbnail size of the balm. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the product.
I recently bought this product, and it smells/feels incredible. My lady loves the smell cedar and pine being emitted from my facial fur.

I have been using the balm/soap/brush for about a week. My beard noticeably softer and looks healthier. This kit is a great deal. Double the amount of oil or balm than most other companies, soap and the brush. I've seen this brush on other sites for double what is charged here. The products are all great and I will be ordering again. If I wasn't sold by the product (I was), I would be by the customer service. I had a question before ordering and e-mailed them. I received a very friendly and informative response within 5 minutes. When I received my order there was a small issue. I e-mailed them and again received a response within 5 minutes with a resolution to my issue. I highly recommend this company and products and cannot wait to try some of the other scents. I have the White Lightnin' Balm/oil and the Honey Oat soap. I would recommend both, Especially the White Lightnin'. Very clean and easy. Not too strong but lasts all day. My girlfriend loves it. I've tried multiple brands of balms and oils and smoky mountain beard company has the best by far. Just in three days of using their products my beard is 100 times softer than months of using other companies stuff. And the soaps are awesome also. I decided to try the products from Smoky Mountain Beard Company. I opted for the kit and found the bluegrass balm to have a great scent and not overwhelming. With a curly gray beard I find the soap and balm keeps it soft and manageable. The quality of the brush was above my expectations as well.

Lifetime (since puberty) beard guy here and I first indulged in some beard maitenance with this kit as well as some beard oil. The bluegrass scent is intense but not overpowering, and I get complimented on it regularly now. Beard feels great and so do I, it was a morale boost greater than I even anticipated. Being a deer hunter, being undetectable in the woods is a must. Part of that being undetectable is not smelling like you just stepped out of a barber shop. If I do not keep oil and balm in my beard, my face drys and begins to dandruff quickly. So this is where this balm comes in. This has quickly became my go to scent while hunting. I rub the balm in before I go to bed, and by the time I wake up the smell has faded to a slight cedar smell. This is a great scent if I you are like me and have a beard and also have cedar trees where you hunt. Oh yeah, the hold is really nice hold also.

I've had facial hair for decades and never used anything on it. I've always kept it relatively short so didn't think I needed to condition or train my facial hair. A friend recommended SMB. What a difference a brush and some balm make! Will definitely be back to purchase again as I now am thinking of growing out a longer beard.
I had been using another balm for around 2 months. Got this in the mail and it is fantastic. First thing is the scent. It is not too overpowering but lasts throughout the day. My wife loves it. To me, it smells of mostly cedar with a little pine. A very subtle and easy going smell but it lasts. Second is the moisturizing qualities. My last balm was oily and couldn't last all day- leaving my beard feeling dry by 2 o' clock. This balm provides better hold, shine, and my beard stays soft all day...all without making my beard an oil slick. Packaging was simple and effective with a sticker thrown in for the Nalgene. Shipping time was reasonable...order to door in less than a week. I will definitely be purchasing again. Give this balm a try! I love it and I think you will too.
I have used many different balms from many different companies, this one actually smells like the description and it makes my beard soft, i will definitely be ordering from yall again, and i will try other scents too. Only one problem, need bigger tins haha

I bought this a little over 6 months ago, and I've used it off and on over that time. I had never used beard balm before, so a couple things that took some getting used to were the handling of it, and the feel of it in my beard.
Let me get the smell part out of the way by saying it has a really good, earthy, manly smell.
Now that I've tried the White Lightnin' beard oil, I can say that the two don't really smell anything alike, but they're both individually very good (my wife says the White Lightnin' oil is hands down better smelling than the balm...look for my review with the oils sampler).
As for handling it, I found that setting the tin in a small pool of hot water in the bathroom sink made it a little easier to handle, as it softened the balm more than the heat from my hands could do, and I was able to spread it around my beard more evenly. The boar bristle brush that Smoky Mountain sells works great to evenly spread the balm (or oil) through the beard.
The balm does help hold my wild hairs (as much as possible), helping my beard look better groomed. It also helps condition my beard, making it softer, as the waxy balm incorporates into my beard.
Overall, the balm, and all of the other products I've purchased so far from Smoky Mountain Beard Co. have been great, and the customer service and update emails received through the order processes have also been great.
